The Kearns Family & Todd Albright

Mojave Desert singer-songwriter Pat Kearns persists among the most recognizable voices in the high-desert folk-rock landscape, further legitimized with his winning the Joshua Tree Voice “Joshua” Award for Best Male Vocal of 2023. Embodying the traditions of ‘60s/’70s outlaw/cosmic country with deep-rooted power-pop sensibilities, Kearns continues building a catalog of timeless songs from his solar-powered Goat Mountain Studios in Landers, CA where he is also the engineer.

While occasionally backed up with a full band for his current solo shows in the Mojave, Kearns is always accompanied by his wife Susan Kearns on stand-up bass. Ever extending their wanderlust, the two have toured through the U.S. and parts of Europe in the last five years yet remain anchored to the high desert land they’ve claimed in modern pioneer spirit. They have recently taken the moniker, "The Kearns Family," when performing as a duo.

Todd Albright is a country blues, twelve string guitar player and vocalist based in Detroit, Michigan. Grounded in the pre-war era of the blues tradition (1880-1939), Todd is a mindful purveyor of blues history. His repertoire upholds musical pillars such as Blind Willie McTell, George Carter, Blind Lemon Jefferson and Leadbelly. His life’s work continues the distinguished tradition of the very roots of American music as told by the African American musicians who created it.

Todd's first full-length LP, Fourth Floor Visitor, was released by Jett Plastic Recordings out of Detroit, Michigan (2017). His latest album, Detroit Twelve String: Blues & Rags, is out now on Third Man Records (2017).

AJ Lambert Live at The Copper Room

AJ Lambert is a daring artist who always takes a thrilling and unexpected turn whether it’s making her solo albums, as front-woman & bassist of beloved post-punk band Bloodslide, or as the director of many of her videos, building a transfixing iconography that is singular.

In 2019, AJ released her first full length solo LP, Careful You, via Alpha Pup. A unique song interpreter like her grandfather Frank Sinatra and her mother Nancy Sinatra, the album includes unique, poignant re-imaginations of songs by artists including Spoon and TV on the Radio, as well as some of her grandfather’s deep cuts such as “Sleep Warm” and “Ebb Tide”. The record was a critical success in both the UK and the US and she directed 2 videos for the album.

Later that year, she collaborated with Greg Ahee of Protomartyr on Lonely Songs, an EP to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Sinatra Sings for Only the Lonely. She was director for a third time, of the video for “Lush Life.”, which was an outtake from the original Sinatra album that Lambert and Ahee included on the EP.

AJ is gearing up for her next adventure, her new album ‘Dirt Soda’, which will be released in July 8th, 2022 alongside a European Tour. AJ assembled a band featuring Parker Kindred (Joan As Policewoman) and Rhys Hastings (Yves Tumor) on drums, Dave Harrington (Darkside) on guitar, Kenny Gilmore (Julia Holter) on synths, and herself  on vocals, Taurus pedal, piano and guitar for the record. She wrote most of the album’s tracks but also takes on a pair of 90s indie rock titans with her versions of Pavement rarity “Strings of Nashville'' and Codeine classic “Broken hearted Wine”, and also covers The Casinos’ “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye”. Adventurous and raw, it is a collection of distorted anthems from a daredevil artist with a voice that can handle any genre.
